Tri-Card Poker is a variation of standard poker where both player & dealer are dealt three cards each. The player has a choice of placing a wager on Pair +, Ante or both.
Pair Plus payouts are based on the player's hand and not dealer's.For Ante bets, however, both the player & dealer’s hands are compared and a winner is determined as per game rules.
How to Play Tri-Card Poker
Place the amount you would like to wager on Pair Plus, Ante or both, and click on the "DEAL" button.Three cards are dealt to the player faced up and three cards to the Dealer face down.If you have placed an Ante bet, you must make a choice of Folding or Raising the wager. If you FOLD you loose both your Ante and Pair Plus bets.
Once Dealer’s hand is revealed, and an Ante bet has been placed, a payout is determined as per Ante bet rules.Similarly, if a Pair Plus bet has been placed, a payout is determined as per game rules and the player hand only.
One standard deck of 52 cards is used.
Rules of Tri Card Poker
Tri-Card Poker, where player and the dealer are dealt three cards each, consists of a Pair Plus and Ante wager.Player has a choice of betting on Pair plus, Ante or both.
In Pair Plus, a wager is placed for an outcome of a Pair or better. If player wins, payouts are according to Pair Plus pay table. In Ante, a wager is placed against the dealer’s hand.
Player’s hand is dealt faced up and dealer’s faced down.At this stage, player has a choice of "Folding" in which case he does not intend to challenge the dealer.Player loses the Ante bet AND Pair Plus bet (if he placed one) and the game is over.
Player also has a choice of "Raising" the bet by an equal amount, in which case the player intends to challenge the dealer’s hand.At this stage dealer’s hand is revealed. To determine the winner, dealer’s hand must first qualify with its high card rank of Queen or an over all rank of Pair Plus or better.
If the dealer’s hand doesn't qualify, player wins 1:1 on Ante and the Raise bet is returned (Push). If the player’s hand and dealer’s hand have the same rank, the highest-ranking card determines the winner (E.g.A pairs of Kings beats a pair of 10’s).There are three possible scenarios:
Player can win by beating the dealer’s hand in which case, player wins the Ante and Raise.Player is also eligible to win a bonus amount if his hand contains a straight, three of a kind or a straight flush according to Ante bet Bonus pay table.
Dealer can win (provided he qualifies in the first place) by beating the player’s had in which case, player loses the Ante and Raise bets.
If the dealer’s hand ties the player’s hand, both the Ante and Raise bets are returned to the player.
